MSI with automated stock imports

Newish site and I’m not sure are we doing the right thing. We have a site set up with MSI but we also have stock level imports coming from the warehouse that does the dispatching, a few times a day. Is this ok? Are we just creating trouble for ourselves, or is it something we really shouldn’t be doing? Will the stock imports – eg, quantity = x, status = “in stock” etc – overwrite the MSI or just cause complications. I don’t even know what I’m asking, tbh, but we’ve noticed some discrepancies in inventory reservations and I’m not sure if it stems back to having MSI set up but also the stock imports.
