[M2] Disabled Products lead to 500 error – “front controller 100 iterations”

I’m not sure if this is a problem that resulted from our migration, or a third party plugin conflict. When a product is disabled, accessing the URL does not result in the 404, but instead a 500 error with this message (“Front controller reached 100 router match iterations”). Entering any generic bad URL results in 404 just fine. It [only] seems to affect disabled products.

Google points me to solutions such as “change the sortOrder of your router” or “clear the cache lul”. I looked into the sortOrder piece, and any third party plugins seem to be following the rules. The few StackOverflow posts with this issue, to no surprise, have any followup or answer.

Has [anyone] dealt with this? What would be the best point of entry to debug this one? Part of me thinks it’s a module conflict, but without a more specific error I can’t really pinpoint [what] module is throwing a fit. Just start disabling random modules that may affect products?

Magento 2 – Extremely Slow cart if over 100 line items

Basically what the title says. If there’s over 100 line items, expecially closer to 200 and the cart page takes just about 20seconds for TTFB. Seems unacceptable for a system touted for enterprise use and e-commerce functionality.

Using default Luma theme, very few extensions. We’re currently profiling to see what’s causing the slowdown and seeing if there’s an easy solution. In the meantime decided to create a post in case someone else faced similar issues previously and wants to provide feedback.

Adobe Commerce Survey in the admin panel?

Just starting today, the users in the Magento admin panel (community edition) are being prompted with an “Adobe Commerce Survey” when they sign in. I’ve been contacted by my clients thinking maybe they were hacked because they didn’t realize “Adobe Commerce” is Magento.

Is this legit? Is there a way to disable it? How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Looking for an Extension to charge a % fee on the total price

Looking to charge a 2.5% fee (for credit card processing) on the total price. This includes products + shipping + tax. I want to fee to show on checkout so the users can see what the fee is for.

I’ve tried a few actions but haven’t found one that charges the fee on everything. Some do just products. Others don’t do shipping.

I’ve tried MageComp Payment Fees and MagePrince Extra Fee Pro but those do not add the fee on everything. Amasty has one too but it also doesn’t do it on everything.

44% of developers who build apps for 3rd party platforms have six or more years of experience in backend services

The market for applications and extensions for third-party ecosystems has been around for a number of years now, yielding a moderate level of experienced developers.

Almost a quarter (24%) of developers building such applications have six or more years of experience in this specific development area.
This ranks third-party app platform developers at an average level in terms of experience when compared to their peers in other development sectors.
However, given the nature of this area, it’s common for developers who build apps for third-party platforms to be involved in other development sectors, such as backend services, where 44% of developers have six or more years of experience. In general, these developers tend to be more experienced in other development sectors, indicating that development of applications for third-party ecosystems is more of an extended skill than a primary development focus.
