[Question] Is Amasty Elasticsearch better than the default Elastic Search option in Magento 2?

Our developer is asking us to install the Amasty Elasticsearch extension rather than use the default Elasticsearch extension that comes with the latest versions of Magento.

Is there a reason why going for this extension is better? Any insights would be mega helpful.
