Debating a switch to Shopify

Hi, We’ve been running a Magento store since 2016 now, doing low 7 figure revenue numbers very steadily but honestly with stagnated growth. The website is slow. We’re talking single digit lighthouse reports slow. It’s a mess but our customer base seems to fight through it because of prices and customer service (were B2B). Our organic traffic is nearly non existent and we rely almost entirely on paid for customer acquisition. There are many bugs on the site, which we simply do not have budget to fix, I’m given 40 hours of dev agency time each month to work on fixes and implementing new features and it really isn’t enough to even keep on top of new bugs never mind working through the backlog. We’ve been planning to do a Hyva upgrade (from a different budget) which is being sold as a magical fix for all our issues and we were quoted £20k for a port of our Pearl theme to Hyva. Here is our dilemma: Last year I spun up 2 Shopify sites for the business, as brand sites for brands we work with as UK distributors. These Shopify sites took 3 months to start taking considerable orders and another 3 months to outrank our main Magento store in page rankings and surpass the main stores organic traffic numbers. All whilst having no content outside basic product descriptions, and much higher prices. We do not do anything in M2 that can’t be replicated in Shopify with an off the shelf app.

TLDR: I’d love to know everyone’s opinion, is a move from Magento to Shopify a step backwards or not?
