I have a property in a js file (view/container.js) that is used to check if a div is visible or not called giftWrapVisible [ giftWrapVisible: ko.observable(false) ]

Is there a way for me to change giftWrapVisible to true in another different js file (action/check.js) ?

I am hoping you can shed some light on what might be best here. I am wondering if Magento should be the hub of operations or another software like an ERP (Odoo). It is hard to see the big picture and consultants seem to not know anything in detail.

We are a b2b distributor who sometimes drop ships, purchase inventory, send quotes, accepts POs as payment, ship UPS and freight and are looking to get into Amazon. We have used Odoo in the past with a bigcommerce store but have moved the accounting end to Quickbooks.

My question is: Option 1: Should we use magneto with a Purchase, drop ship, listing app, shipping, where Magento would be the hub and feed into quickbooks? They even have ERP extensions for Magento now, I am not sure how good they are.

Or Option two: We use Magento as a website only, maybe use a listing app, use odoo for inventory, product listing, invoices, shipping ect. ?

Any feedback would be wonderful as there is obviously no set way to do this and I’m looking for functional simplicity.

I’m trying to implement an appointment slot booking system where people can simply pay and start chatting/calling with a professional. What I mean is that on a particular page there would be a list of professionals(for example lawyers) with some descriptive information about them. Customers could then verify themselves with email or a mobile OTP system and then pay for a slot through a payment gateway.

I understand that it is a huge ask and not actually truly a Magento use case but my client’s website is already built on Magento. I understand that building this sub-platform on a web-based framework such as Laravel and then integrating with the website would make more sense but I want to check if anything on Magento would allow me to achieve the same.

Hi. I am not the savvy in Magento. I am Tech SEO.

We have a client using magento, large ecommerce site.
We were using the Parameter tool in Google Search Console to block Google from indexing these millions of URLs. But, when Google killed the parameter tool, we erroneously put a
Disallow: /*_mof_*
in their Robots.txt. This resulted in millions and millions of urls being classified as “Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt” which makes sense, since GoogleBot has to be able to crawl the page to see that there is a canonical on these parmater pages.

How do you solve this? Keeping the product parameter urls from being indexed?

Hi all,

I’m wondering there’s a way to add canonical tags to only certain categories in Magento.

I’ve done the settings –> stores –> configurations –> catalog –> catalog –> SEO and set canonical tags to yes, but if I’m correct – won’t that add a canonical to all categories?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone use the DHL Express shipping module to handle the DHL shipping option? The module works fine but there’s an error thrown when trying to track a shipment. The message says: “Tracking information is currently not available. Please contact us for more information at [email address]”

Has anyone had the same problem? I can’t seem to find the settings in the admin panel.
